Have you ever had difficulty accessing a VPN server via your mobile or gadget? Recently, D~NET received questions from several customers who complained that they could not access D~NET's servers through their gadgets or mobiles, whereas previously they were able to access them smoothly.After analyzing the problems that occurred, the problems found were not from the D~NET server but from the VPN access from the gadget used by the customer. Why this happened ?
There are various types of VPNs that are widely recognized today such as PTPP, L2TP, and OpenVPN. But what is still classified as the most common and used by many people is the PTPP type VPN. Even some Apple devices still use PTPP VPN in their settings. This is the source of the problems caused by the blocking of PTPP VPN by a number of local providers in Indonesia. There has been no official news or clarification from the provider, but the monitoring results show that providers such as XL and Smartfren have blocked this PTPP VPN service.
